Get connected. Keep it running.

In the MT5 terminal you will actually use, choose File → Open Data Folder. Put the PrismAlgo EX5 file in MQL5 → Experts and the PrismConnectV2 connector file in MQL5 → Libraries, not in Experts.

If you have several MT5 installations, use Open Data Folder from this terminal rather than guessing its folder.

Refresh the Navigator or restart MT5, then attach the EA.

Tick the imports box in both places: Tools → Options → Expert Advisors in MT5, and the Dependencies tab of the EA properties when attaching PrismAlgo. My Licenses in your Member Zone shows both once you sign in.

PrismAlgo connects to the cloud through its PrismConnectV2 connector file, which must also be in this terminal’s MQL5 → Libraries folder.

Enable the Algo Trading button in the MT5 toolbar and allow algorithmic trading in the EA properties. The terminal permission and the EA permission both need to allow trading.

If attachment still fails, read the Experts tab for the actual error.

Attach PrismAlgo to one EURUSD chart on the H4 timeframe. Keep it simple: one chart, EURUSD, H4.

That one chart runs every market you have switched on, so you don’t need an EA on every pair or a second PrismAlgo in the same terminal.

Yes, through Windows. PrismAlgo runs in MetaTrader 5 for Windows, and the Mac version of MT5 isn’t a supported setup.

Run MT5 on a Windows VPS and open it from your Mac, or run Windows on your Mac with virtualization software.

We recommend one. PrismAlgo trades through your MT5 terminal, so MT5 has to stay open and online. A Windows VPS you log in to keeps it running around the clock, even while your own computer is off (MetaQuotes’ built-in Virtual Hosting can’t run PrismAlgo).

Your own PC works too: just stop it from sleeping and keep it connected.

Download the current package from your account and follow its installation guide.

Use File → Open Data Folder in the correct MT5 terminal, then replace the EA and connector files in their folders. Back up your existing files and settings first.

Cloud strategy updates are automatic; an EA software update can need this manual installation.

Download it from prismalgo.com/free-trial on the Windows PC or VPS where MT5 runs, and unzip it. In MT5 choose File → Open Data Folder and drag the zip’s MQL5 folder into that window, merging it.

Switch on Algo Trading and tick the boxes in the setup guide we email you, then attach the free trial to one EURUSD chart on the H4 timeframe, on a demo account.

The panel shows FREE TRIAL and the days left. No license key is needed.

Start with Balanced, the EA’s set-and-forget default, ideally on a demo account first: the free trial runs there for 14 days.

Conservative sizes each Forex position smaller for the same balance and Aggressive larger. Prop Firm mode sizes Forex like Conservative for funded accounts, and Fixed Lot lets you set the base lot yourself.

The profile sets position size and your license sets which markets you can trade. On the $29 and $49 monthly plans, your plan’s lot sizes apply in every profile.

Usually not. PrismAlgo finds the names your broker uses, such as EURUSD-ECN or GBPUSD+, and uses the one your account can trade. If your broker uses a suffix and PrismAlgo still can’t find a pair, set Symbol Suffix in the EA’s settings (F7 > Inputs).

Check the exact names in MT5 Market Watch. For mEURUSD, the prefix is m; for EURUSD.r, the suffix is .r. Plain EURUSD needs neither. Check the EA’s detected symbols and use its symbol inputs if your broker’s naming needs adjustment.

Open Market Watch and find your broker’s exact Gold or Bitcoin symbol. Enter that name in the relevant Symbol Override input.

Confirm that the symbol is available to your account and that the market is enabled under your license and EA settings.

Forex is the recommended starting market, and Starter Forex is Forex-only. On Complete and Lifetime VIP, check Trade Gold and Trade Crypto in the EA inputs before you attach, and switch on only the markets you want.

Each market has its own sizing rules, and Gold and Bitcoin can bring greater volatility. You can also keep markets apart across your authorized account slots.

Enable drawdown protection explicitly and configure the daily and overall limits for your account. Selecting Prop Firm mode does not automatically turn protection on.

At a limit, PrismAlgo stops new entries and attempts to close its positions; execution can take losses beyond the threshold.

Check your firm’s rules when configuring a prop account.

From EA 2.50 it never is: automatic Forex sizing opens at least 0.01 lot, or your broker’s minimum, so Forex entries are no longer skipped on a small balance.

Conservative and Prop Firm mode add 0.01 lot per $500 USD-equivalent, Balanced per $250 and Aggressive per $100.

Fixed Lot overrides automatic base sizing, not broker limits; strategy position-size multipliers still apply.

On the $29 and $49 monthly plans, your plan’s lot sizes apply in every profile, Fixed Lot included.

USD (or a USC cent account), EUR, GBP, JPY, AUD, NZD, CAD, CHF, SGD, HKD, CNH and CNY.

PrismAlgo converts your balance to US dollars with your broker’s own rate for that currency, such as EURUSD or USDJPY, to size each trade. A USC cent account is sized on its balance as if it were dollars: 2,600 USC sizes like $2,600.

On any other account currency, or if your broker has no rate for it, PrismAlgo opens no trades and the Experts tab names the reason. On an unsupported currency, the panel’s BASE LOT shows currency n/a.

Confirm the full license key, the authorized MT5 account number, the connection and both trading permissions. Then inspect Experts immediately after attachment.

A Journal entry such as initialization failed is only a summary; the accompanying Experts message is the useful detail.

Open File → Open Data Folder in the MT5 terminal that fails. Verify the PrismConnectV2 connector file is actually in MQL5 → Libraries, not another MT5 installation or the Experts folder.

Check the imports box is ticked in both Tools → Options → Expert Advisors and the EA’s Dependencies tab.

If those checks pass, send the exact Experts error plus a screenshot of the connector file and its full folder path; do not assume the license is the cause.

PrismAlgo needs a hedging MT5 account that allows positions to be closed in any order. On a netting or FIFO account it opens no new trades and only manages what it already holds.

Ask your broker for a hedging (non-FIFO) MT5 account, authorize that account number in the Member Zone, then attach PrismAlgo there.

Run PrismAlgo on one chart per MT5 terminal: the one chart it’s attached to controls every market you have switched on. Remove it from the other charts and keep just one.

If something still looks wrong with PrismAlgo on that one chart, send us the Experts log and terminal details. Don’t delete terminal global variables or trade-state files as a general troubleshooting step.

The EA sent an entry but has not yet confirmed from your broker whether it filled. To avoid a duplicate trade, it will not resend that entry automatically.

Keep the full message, the ticket number and your MT5 Trade/History records, and send them to us before you place any trade by hand.

Check that the VPS or computer has internet access and MT5 is connected. Review firewall or security-software messages for a blocked connection; do not disable protection as a blanket fix.

Send the exact error, time and MT5 build if the connection does not recover.

Confirm the symbol exists for your broker account in Market Watch, then use its exact name in the relevant Symbol Override. Check market access under your plan and whether that market is enabled in the EA.

Trading sessions are set by your broker for each symbol, and can include a daily break. Check the symbol’s Specification in MT5 for its trading sessions.

A trade that would open outside that session may not be eligible; keep the full Experts message so we can identify the cause.

Send the Experts tab immediately after the problem, with complete timestamps and messages, plus any relevant Journal lines.

Include your broker/server, MT5 build, EA version and what you were doing. For a missing trade, include the ticket and Trade/History evidence.

Do not send passwords or remote-access credentials.

The free trial runs on MetaTrader 5 demo accounts, and each MT5 account number gets one 14-day trial, counted from its first connection.

On a live account, open a demo at your broker (File → Open an Account) and attach the free trial there. When a trial has expired, choose a license to keep PrismAlgo running on the account you want to trade.

If a new demo account that never ran the free trial says it has expired, email [email protected] with the ref shown on the panel.

Switched off: your open trades are not managed until you attach the current version, so download it from prismalgo.com/free-trial and attach it again; your account keeps the days it has left.

Another computer: a free trial runs on one computer at a time, so close it there; this computer connects again within 5 to 10 minutes.
